Prazicide complex for dogs and puppies 10 to 20 kg

Indications for use

Prazicide Complex is used in adult dogs and cats, puppies and kittens starting from the age of 2 months for treatment and prevention of intestinal nematodosis, cestodosis, entomosis, otodectosis, sarcoptosis, notoedrosis, demodecosis and protection of animals against ixodic ticks.

Composition

Praziquantel 102 mg/ml, ivermectin 5 mg/ml, fipronil 100 mg/ml, levamisole 25 mg/ml, excipients up to 1 ml.

Dosage and administration

The preparation should be applied to the animal’s skin by parting its hair in an area the animal cannot reach with its tongue (e.g., the neck area at the base of the skull or between the shoulder blades). If the animal being treated is large, the preparation should be applied to 3 or 4 spots.
Depending on the type and weight of the animal, multiple Prazitcide Complex can be combined to obtain the dosages specified in the table below:

The drug dosage for dogs weighing 40 to 60 kg is 6 ml, which is achieved by combining 2 pipettes of 2 ml and 4 ml, for dogs weighing 60 to 80 kg – 2 pipettes of 4 ml each.

To remove fleas, bloodsucking and biting lice and protect pets from ixodic tick attacks, Prazicide Complex should be applied monthly throughout the entire insect activity season. The medicine should be applied externally onto dry undamaged skin.

For the treatment of otodectosis (ear scabies), the medicine is applied to the skin as a single dose. It is advisable to clean the ear canal from exudate and scabs during the treatment, and where
otodectosis is complicated with otitis, antimicrobial and antiinflammatory drugs should be administered.

In case of sarcoptosis, notoedrosis or demodecosis, the drug is applied with a swab to the affected areas, which should be precleaned from scabs moving from periphery to the center including
up to 1 cm of unaffected skin, according to the doses specified in the table. The treatment should be given 2-4 times with 10-14 day intervals until clinical recovery, as evidenced by two negative
acarological tests. Animals with extensive invasions should be treated in two stages with a 1-day interval by first applying the medicine to one part of the affected body surface and then to the
other.

The treatment is recommended to be combined with pathogenetic and symptomatic drugs according to their instructions for use. 
For deworming in case of nematodosis or cestodosis, the drug is administered for therapeutic purposes as a single dose and for preventive purposes – on a quarterly basis according to the doses
specified in the table.

To keep the medication from being licked off by the animal, it is advisable to use a cone collar, muzzle or noseband, which can be removed 20 to 30 minutes after the solution is applied.

Contraindications

Prazicide Complex should not be used for treatment of animals suffering from infectious diseases, recovering, malnourished and weakened animals. The drug should be used with caution for Collie,
Sheltie and Bobtail dog breeds and their crossbreeds.

Storage conditions

The drug should be stored sealed in the manufacturer packaging, protected from direct sunlight and kept separate from food products and feeds at temperatures between 0 ºС and +25 ºС.

Shelf life

The drug has a shelf life of 2 years from the date of manufacture, provided that the storage conditions are met at all times.
