Piro-Stop is administered to cattle, sheep, horses, donkeys, mules for treatment and prevention of blood parasitic diseases, such as
babesiosis, nuttalliosis, anaplasmosis and mixed invasions.
Imidocarb dipropionate — 120 mg/ml, excipients up to 1 ml.
The drug should be administered as follows:
• to cattle for treatment and prevention of babesiosis - 2.0 ml per 100 kg of animal body weight, for anaplasmosis and mixed invasions
- 2.5 ml per 100 kg of animal body weight as a single dose; for elimination of carrier state - 4.0 ml per 100 kg of animal body weight twice with a 14-day interval;
• to horses, donkeys and mules for treatment and prevention of babesiosis in the dose of 2.0 ml per 100 kg of animal body weight as a single dose;
• to sheep for treatment of babesiosis and anaplasmosis - 0.2 ml per 10 kg of animal body weight as a single dose..
Contraindications include the animal’s individual hypersensitivity to the drug components. The drug may not be used for 4 weeks following vaccination with a live vaccine against babesiosis or anaplasmosis. The drug should not be given to weakened animals.
Slaughter of cattle, horses and sheep for meat is allowed no earlier than 28 days following the most recent administration of Piro-Stop.
Meat of animals that had to be slaughtered before the expiry of the time periods specified may be used as feed for fur-bearing animals.
Milk from milking cows and mares may be used for food purposes no earlier than 4 days following the most recent administration of Piro-Stop.
The drug should be stored sealed in the manufacturer packaging, protected from direct sunlight and kept separate from food products and feeds at temperatures between 0 ºС and +25 ºС.
The drug has a shelf life of 3 years from the date of manufacture, provided that the storage conditions are met at all times, and 28
days once the bottle is opened.
