Drug for treatment and prevention of nematodoses and cestodoses in dogs and cats
Helmimax is administered to adult dogs and cats, puppies and kittens for prevention and treatment of nematodoses (toxocariasis,
toxascaridosis, uncinariosis, trichocephalosis, ankylostomiasis), cestodoses (tenyidosis, dipyldiosis, echinococcosis, amyloidosis,
diphyllobithriasis, alveococcosis, mesocestoidiasis), mixed nematodecestode invasions and the prevention of dirofilariasis.
praziquantel — 50 mg/tablet, moxidectin — 2.5 mg/tablet
The tablets should be administered orally and given to each animal individually as a single dose during the morning feeding with a small amount of food or applied for therapeutic purposes to the back of the base of the tongue at 5 mg of praziquantel and 0.25 mg of moxidectin per 1 kg of animal body weight.
For preventive purposes, an animal should be dewormed quarterly and before each vaccination. For therapeutic purposes, deworming should be done as medically required. In case of a severe invasion, it is advisable to repeat deworming after 14 days.
To prevent dirofilariasis in high-incidence areas, the medication should be used during the spring, summer and autumn period as follows: before the mosquito season – once as a single dose, then monthly, and the last time during the season – no earlier than 1 month after the end of the insect season.
No fasting or administration of laxatives is required prior to deworming.

Contraindications include the animal’s individual intolerance to individual drug components (including from past medical history), severe renal and hepatic impairments. The drug should not be given
to animals weighing less than 0.5 kg. Administration of the drug to Collie, Sheltie and Bobtail dog breeds must be supervised by a veterinarian, as they are hypersensitive to macrocyclic lactones.
Malnourished animals and animals sick with infectious diseases, puppies under 3 weeks of age and kittens under 6 weeks of age should not undergo deworming treatment.
The drug should be stored sealed in the manufacturer packaging, protected from direct sunlight and kept separate from food
products and feeds at temperatures between 0 ºС and +25 ºС.
The drug has a shelf life of 3 years from the date of manufacture, provided that the storage conditions are met at all times.
