Uterocen

Uterocen is used for labor induction in the event of atony and uterine hypotonia, for prevention of placenta retention, uterine subinvolution, improvement of fertility, removal of embryos from donor cows, and as part of combined therapy for treatment of postpartum endometritis and metritmastitis-agalactia syndrome in sows.

Propranolol hydrochloride — 5 mg/ml, excipients up to 1 ml.

Uterocen is administered intramuscularly or intravenously.

In dose of 10 ml per animal:

- to cows for labor induction and prevention of postpartum complications – as a single dose on the day of delivery;

- in case placenta retention in cows – three times at 12-hour intervals;

- for treatment of uterine subinvolution and postpartum endometritis in cows - three times at 24-hour intervals in combination with other drugs. In dose of 5 ml per animal:

- for prevention of metritis-mastitis-agalactia syndrome in sows – as a single dose immediately after delivery;

- as part of artificial insemination to increase fertility rates of cows and sows – as a single dose 20 to 30 minutes before the insemination procedure;

- as part of embryo removal from donor cows — 10 to 15 minutes before embryo washing.

Uterocen may not be used during pregnancy and for young animals. For lactating animals, the drug should be used caution under the supervision of a veterinarian.

Animal meat and milk may be used for food purposes without any restrictions.

The drug should be stored sealed in the manufacturer packaging, protected from direct sunlight and kept separate from food products and feeds at temperatures between +2°С and +25°С.

The drug has a shelf life of 3 years from the date of manufacture, provided that the storage conditions are met at all times, and 14 days once the bottle is opened.
