Description

Drug for treatment of wounds

Indications for use

Ranosan Ointment is used in dogs, cats, fur-bearing animals, pet rodents and sporting horses externally for treatment of wounds of various etiologies, burns, pressure sores, frostbites, inflammatory diseases of the skin and soft tissues, as well as for the prevention of postoperative infections (after castration, tail and ear cropping, suturing).

Composition

Hydroxymethylquinoxylindioxide — 10 mg/g, methyluracil — 30 mg/g, chloramphenicol — 10 mg/g, lidocaine hydrochloride — 50 mg/g, excipients.

Dosage and administration

Ranosan Ointment is administered to animals externally once daily until the affected surface is fully healed, but no more than for 14 days. If necessary, before applying the ointment, hair should be
clipped off from the affected surface and the wound should be cleaned to remove mechanical dirt, crusts and scabs and rinsed with an antiseptic solution.

A thin layer of Ranosan Ointment should be applied to the affected surface using a spatula, glass stick, or cotton-gauze swab and evenly distributed moving from the periphery to the center of the affected area including up to 1 cm of unaffected skin.

Open wounds are covered with a gauze wipe with the ointment applied to it and secured with a bandage; for cavity wounds, the ointment is applied using the drainage method.

Contraindications

Contraindications include the animal’s individual intolerance to the drug components (including from past medical history).

Storage conditions

The drug should be stored sealed in the manufacturer packaging, protected from direct sunlight and kept separate from food products and feeds at temperatures between 0 ºС and +25 ºС.

Shelf life

The drug has a shelf life of 2 years from the date of manufacture, provided that the storage conditions are met at all times.

My cat has allergic flea dermatitis, they prescribed drops on the withers and pills. Dana Ultra drops helped, the cat's rash disappeared and he stopped scratching.

Price = quality. Dana Ultra drops are for weights 20-40kg, if you need 40+ then you need two droppers (by weight). Excellent drops, for a pleasant price.

The price corresponds to the quality. Three days before and three days after we don't bathe the dog, we apply it dotwise in several places on the withers. My dog is allergic, if you pour the whole dropper on one place, there may be irritation, but everything is ok. Good product, I recommend it.
