Drug for prevention of vomiting of various etiologies in dogs and cats
Maropital is used to prevent vomiting of various etiologies in dogs and cats.
1 ml of Maropital contains 10 mg of maropitant (in citrate monohydrate form) as the active substance and methacresol,
sodium sulfobutyl ether β-cyclodextrin and water for injection as excipients.
Over-the-counter (OTC).
The drug is administered to dogs and cats subcutaneously at 1 mg/kg of animal body weight, which is equivalent to 1 ml of the drug
per 10 kg of animal body weight, once daily for no more than 5 consecutive days.
Contraindications include the animal’s hypersensitivity to the drug components.
The drug should be administered with caution to animals suffering from liver pathology and heart failure.
The drug should be stored sealed in the manufacturer packaging, protected from direct sunlight and kept separate from food
products and feeds at temperatures between +2 ⁰С and + 25 ⁰С. Maropital should be kept out of the reach of children.
The drug has a shelf life of 3 years from the date of manufacture and 90 days once the bottle is opened, provided that aseptic and
antiseptic rules and the storage conditions specified are met at all times.
